Frequently asked questions

When is your next show?

You can find details of this on our main menu under the heading 'SHOWS'.

I don't have any experience... can I audition?

Absolutely!
We welcome new performers regardless of experience. Come along to one of our workshops and give it a try! Whether you would like to audition for a leading role or want to be part of our chorus there is something for everyone.

How old do I have to be?

Our shows are usually for 16+ with no upper limit. We do however sometimes need to cast children and/or young teens in specific roles depending on the requirements of the show we are doing at the time. If this is the case we will advertise on social media and under our auditions tab on the website. We have been known to produce the odd youth production too!

Can I help in other ways?

Absolutely! We rely on the many amazing volunteers behind the scenes who make the magic happen.
Perhaps we could interest you in costume? Props? Stage design? Stage building/painting? Back stage crew? Lighting or sound technician? Directing? Choreographing? Musically directing? Producing? Front of house? Or even joining our committee?

Please get in touch to find out more!!

Do I have to be a member to audition?

No you don't!
There is a £10 membership fee which is optional. You can still be in a show if you are not a member.

Are there show fees?

Yes. We ask a £30 show fee from all successful auditionees per show. If you are unable to pay this straight away don't fret! We are happy to have it in installmants when convenient for you!

Where/when can I buy tickets?

Once the tickets are live for each individual show we will post the details on facebook and on the SHOW tabs of the website. The external website for purchasing tickets is www.ticketsource.co.uk/marianettes

Do you have parking?

Yes! We are able to use Trinity Leisure & Arts car park. (MK40 2QD)
If you are coming to a rehearsal we can arrange a parking permit.
The car park is free to all during performance evenings. There is limited disabled parking.

Is the theatre wheelchair accessible?

Yes. There are no stairs to the theatre, a lift to all other facilities and we can reserve wheelchair spaces for you in the audience.

Is there an audience age guide?

This depends on the nature of the show. Please send us a message to enquire about the show you would like to come and see and we can advise accordingly!
