Who We Are

Here at the Bedford Marianettes we are passionate about local  amateur musical theatre. We aim to produce at least 2 musicals a year in Bedford (our current home being at Trinity Arts & Leisure)  which demonstrate the incredible local talent.

We were founded in 1960 by Eric and Joan Pates who between them directed and choreographed over 150 shows. They retired in 2007 and we have been welcoming a variety of both new and experienced creatives ever since.

If you would like the chance to perform on stage whilst meeting some wonderful people and having lots of fun please do consider joining our society. We are always looking to welcome new members. If performing is not your thing but you would like to be involved behind the scenes we would be thrilled to have you on board! Perhaps back stage crew, costume, make up, props, front of house, set build, band member the list goes on!

We usually rehearse every Monday and Wednesday 7.30-10pm in either the theatre or café area in Trinity Arts & leisure.

We also have sound equipment for hire. We will beat any genuine quote.
